High School Prep Camp kicks-off tonight (Tuesday, January 17th) at 5:30 at Dale City Recreational Center on Minnieville Rd.

Preparation is the key to success.

The camp is designed for current girls and boys high school players looking to prepare themselves for the upcoming high school tryouts and season. This 5-Week Program will integrate interval training (speed endurance), strength endurance, while focusing on spenied and explosive training. In addition to the programs objectives and goals focusing on retaining the neuromuscular system by applying proper running technique form, each individual will participate in extensive accelerated workouts directly in preparations for the upcoming High School Season.  Players will be instructed by Courage Premier staff coaches as well as other high level coaches from the area.

Facilities will Include Dale City Rec and Howison Park

Training sessions will be held Dale City Recreational Center on their multi-purpose gym floor or at Howison Park on Fieldturf.  The Howison Park complex is state of the art and provides players with a world class training environment.

High Level Coaching Staff

The Camp will be run by PWSI’s Speed and Agility Coordinator Matt Weiler.  Coach Weiler is a former Virginia Gatorade POY, former UVA player, current assistant at State Runners-Up Lake Braddock High School and a is a certified NASE in Speed and Explosion. The Camp is directed by Ken Krieger.  Krieger is a 2 time NSCAA HS National Champion and 4 time HS State Champion coach.  Included in his staff will be former professional and collegiate players, and local coaching talent.

College Seminar

As part of the camp, players will have the opportunity to participate in a college seminar.  The seminar will be presented by Greg Andrulis - former MLS Coach and current George Mason University Head Coach.  The seminar will provide players with insider details on the college soccer scene, academic requirements, recruitment information, and an opportunity for Q&A with Coach Andrulis and Coach Drake.  The date and location is TBD.

Registration and Camp Details

The camp fee is $100.  The dates of the camp are Jan. 17,24,31, Feb. 7, and 14.  The camp will run on the days from 5:30PM - 6:30PM or 7:30-8:30PM at Dale City Rec (the time will depend on the number of players that register for the CAMP!  Players are guaranteed 5 sessions.  If the weather is good, players will train at Howison Park.  REGISTER NOW!
