The Courage Select Program is a comprehensive program designed to develop players from U9 to U18. It is the first true club program in Northern Virginia. Under the oversight of Technical Director Ken Krieger, the club incorporates US Soccer’s Coaching Curriculum with the objective of developing players and teams that play an attractive brand of soccer at the highest competitive level.

Each age group consists of multiple teams to ensure that players are training and competing at a level appropriate to them. Coaches are assigned to teams for 1-3 years at the discretion of the technical staff. This process creates a framework in which players are with coaches who understand the developmental needs of their athletes and can focus on the technical and tactical demands of specific age groups.

The success of player development philosophy of the club is evidenced by the achievements of our individual players and teams. PWSI has produced multiple State, Regional and National Pool players. The club has a long history of developing athletes who go on to play at top colleges as well as the professional and National Team level.  

Courage teams compete in the Virginia Club Champions League (VCCL), Washington Area Girls Soccer League (WAGS), and National Capital Soccer League (NCSL), Region 1 Premier League and the National League. Teams compete in local, regional and national tournaments and have consistently placed in the VYSA State Cup Finals.
