Edward is a nationally licensed coach and was an assistant coach for the Bermuda Hogges (Bermuda Men's National Team). He is one of only a couple native born Americans to ever be a member of foreign national team coaching staff. Edward has coached such nationally ranked or prominent colleges as Johns Hopkins University, American University, George Mason University and The University of Delaware. He most recently coached at Howard University. He has coached champion boys and girls club and high schools teams in the Maryland, Washington and Virginia area. He is one of only a few Americans to have ever started as a goalkeeper in a European or African Premier league (In Northern Ireland and South Africa). He has played on state, regional and national championship club teams. He was the director of goalkeeping for the Maryland Olympic Development boys program during its two most successful years of goalkeeper development and was on the staff for Virginia District Development. He has coached women’s professional soccer for the Maryland Pride and has been a Super Y-League head coach. He runs his own goalkeeper academy that has produced international, professional, collegiate and national level goalkeepers. His academy has produced in the last four years more professional and NCAA Division I and III top 25 starting goalkeepers than any other club, trainer or camp in the country. Edward lives in the Northern Virginia area with his wife Erica and their brand new baby girl.
