Dues FAQ’s:
Why has there been such an increase in our Courage Select Dues?
· A dues increase was needed offset some additional costs that the club has incurred over the past couple years such as the Park Authority fee, VYSA fee, as well as league fees. We have also added the cost of uniforms or training apparel into the dues for each Courage player. This allows this cost to be spread out over a longer period rather than requiring parents to pay the uniform cost and initial dues at the beginning of the season. When the uniform is added to the cost of last year’s dues, the increase is only $50 per player for White and Black teams and $100 per player for Red teams.
What is included in the Courage Dues?
· See description above for each level.
We only buy uniforms every other year. Why do I pay the same dues amount every year?
· The boys and girls buy uniforms on alternate years. The girls receive their uniforms on the odd years while the boys receive their uniforms on even years. The dues will also cover the cost of training apparel such as warm up suits, backpacks, and other Nike gear. These will be received in the off year of the uniform buy. For example, the girls will receive their Nike training apparel on even years and the boys will receive them on odd years.
How will the uniform policy work with U9 players?
· U9’s in a uniform year will receive the full uniform that the rest of the Courage teams will receive. The will also receive a Nike Courage Hoodie.
· U9’s in an off uniform year will receive a club issued jersey, shorts, and socks. They will also receive the entire apparel package that the rest of the Courage teams are receiving. This group will be asked to return the club issued jersey at the end of the year.
Why are the Junior dues more expensive than the Youth dues?
· The Junior dues include an additional tournament as well as State Cup for the Red teams.
Why have the Senior dues more than doubled this year?
· The senior fees also include the uniform packages. We also budgeted for lights, winter outdoor training on the turf fields, and college services (player profiles and college seminars). Although many of these teams "sit out" the spring season, they do use fields and other club resources and it is only fair that they contribute their share. Teams that participate in league play during the spring season will be required to pay their league fees separately.
What about winter indoor play?
· This year, winter training will consist of 8 sessions led by the team coach or a PWSI staff coach. Training will include all teams within an age group and focus on technical aspects, as well as speed and agility and small-sided games and tactics. We believe this is more appropriate for player development. Teams are still free to participate in indoor leagues on their own.
Can we try on uniforms and training gear in advance?
