All Registrations must be done through Korrio. When you begin registering your child through the link below follow these details to make sure you reigster your child for the correct program.

1.Sign-In (if you forgot your user name or password, please click on the link to help you). If you are new to the club, please register as a new user.

2. Select the child you wish to register.

3. Select the Program labelled 2013-2014 Select Tryouts (Boys or Girls). If you do not see this program when registering two things have happened.

a. Your child is too young or too old for this program (if they are to young e-mail rcheshire@pwsi.org and he can help register them)

b. Registration is closed.

4. Finish on-screen instructions to register.

U7/U8 Academy Tryouts

The Courage Academy is a year round training program designed for U7/8 players. The aim of the program is to focus on individual player development, and not the development of “the team “. The Courage Academy will offer a developmentally appropriate curriculum that will create a challenging and competitive environment. The U7/U8 Academy is intended for those children more seriously focused on soccer, and for players (and parents) who are willing to make a stronger commitment to prioritizing development above the social aspects of youth soccer.

The Program will be broken down into U7 and U8 programs.

Each program will include the following items:

Two- 1 hour Training Sessions a Week for Fall and Spring Season
One- 1 hour Indoor Training Session a week for Winter Season
8 Intra Academy game seasons (Fall, Winter, Spring)
Competitive scrimmages against other U8 academies (U8 only)
All Academy training and games will be coached by the Courage professional coaching staff
Each player will receive Academy training shirt, academy uniform, and Nike soccer ball

Tryout Dates and Times

Tryouts will take place at Chinn Soccer Field #1 Chinn Park Dr, Woodbridge VA. All particpants must pre-register online. You are registering for the ’13 U7/U8 Academy Tryouts.

Classic Program

Welcome to Prince William Soccer’s Courage Classic Program (CCP). The CCP is designed to offer players 13 and up the opportunity to play travel soccer. The program is viewed as a stepping stone between the Recreational Program and the Select Program. The program will include an entire year commitment to the team.

The CCP will offer boys and girls teams from U13-U18 the opportunity to compete at the travel level. CCP teams will begin competing in the Old Dominion Soccer League (ODSL). The teams will be coached by parent coaches who are working towards atleast their "D" License. The future of the program will only allow those who have atleast "D" Licenses to coach teams.

PWSI will offer 1 team at each of the U13-U18 age-group levels for both girls and boys. Teams will only be formed if a qualified coach has stepped forward and offered to coach that age group.

Courage Hire Quan Phan as Director of Youth Development

Prince William Courage is pleased to announce the hiring of Quan Phan as the Director of Youth Development. In his new position, Phan will oversee Prince William’s Youth Program.

The Prince William Youth program has been widely considered a model program and one of the best in the state of Virginia. Phan has been a leader in Youth Development within Northern Virginia and throughout the state. Quan has spent the last 9 years at Braddock Road as their Academy Director where his trademark was producing high level technical players.

“I am excited to be coming to a great club with a great history and a great future. I can’t wait to get started” says Phan.

“We have long admired the work that Quan has done at Braddock Road,” said Ken Krieger, Technical Director of Coaching. “We are thrilled to be able to bring Quan’s proven track record and experience to the club.”

Mike Yeatts, Executive Director of Prince William Courage states, “We are pleased to welcome Quan to the Prince William Courage staff. We are committed to assembling the best coaching staff in the region in order to achieve our vision of inspiring our players to maximize their potential.”

Current Director of Youth Development Vicky Hall will take on the new responsibility of Girls Director of Coaching.

Howison Park Permanent Restrooms Construction Underway

Construction has begun on the permanent restrooms at Howison Park. Construction should last for approximately two months. It’s not too late to purchase your brick to leave your lasting legacy with Prince William and Howison Park.

Courage Pride Brick Campaign

In May 2006, the Play365 Campaign kicked off to bring the first synthetic turf field to Howison Park. Six years later, it’s time to finish the park off by building the third synthetic turf field on Howison Park #1. Three synthetic turf fields, a permanent restroom facility and a new playground will make Howison Park one of the finest all soccer facilities in the country. We need your help to make it happen!!

With that spirit, we announce the Courage Pride Brick Campaign that will finish what was started six years ago. Show your Courage Pride and leave a lasting legacy by helping us complete Howison Park. Commemorate that special event in someone’s life, honor a friend or family member, or memorialize someone special by purchasing an engraved brick.

This is how it works.

1. Complete the form on the front of the page (indicate engraving instructions, recommended to use all upper case) or use the website below.

2. Pay by Credit Card over the phone, online, or Mail your payment in the form of a check to the address provided below.

3. Once received, your check will be cashed within 5-10 business days. This allows us to batch orders.

4. A purchase confirmation is sent to the email you provide. This will be your only confirmation.

Keep it clean. The bricks may get dirty over time, but that doesn’t have to apply to the engraved language you use! All orders are reviewed for appropriateness.

Please include information about yourself, including your academic and career goals, extra-curricular activities such as involvement in student government, clubs, sports, community service and/or volunteerism and any honors or awards you have received. Your personal statement should also address any special circumstances or challenges you have faced, as well as why you deserve the Jim Claffey Memorial Scholarship.

Letter of Recommendation – One letter which should be written by a recent instructor or counselor at your school who knows enough about you academically and/or personally to write a supportive letter. Letters should address the student’s skills, abilities, commitment, values, goals, personal growth, and potential for success.
