The PWSI Staff has been reorganized and additions made to the staff to enhance the programs ability to cater to all of it's members. Executive Director and Technical Director Quan Phan outlined our organizational changes in the Courage Informational Meeting.  Changes to the Administrative staff include bringing Colleen Heron 's extensive experience in as the Director of Administration. Colleen will lead the staff to ensure our staff is able to assist and work with membership proactively and prepare for upcoming events, registration, and more. She will be supported by longtime staff member Phyllis Lewis who will Director our Member Services & be our representative for NCSL. Rounding out the Administrative Staff will be Bertha Martinez who will work directly with out members at the Courage Clubhouse and is our resident Spanish Speaker. The Operational Staff will have a number of familiar faces including General Manager Rob Cheshire who leads a team of staff integral to the success of the organization. Luis Guevara will continue in his role as Facilities Manager as well as coaching in the Courage Select Program. Luis has continued to go above and beyond to ensure we have the premier facilities in the area and region! Kasey Davenport returns this year to lead the Courage Grassroots Recreational Program and continue to run the Courage Tournaments. The Technical Staff continues to be led by Quan Phan as Technical Director and Alex Silver as Assistant Technical Director. The Technical Staff Changes start with the hiring of Brandon Clegg as a full-time staff member who will oversee the Zone 1 Programs (U9-U12 Boys & Girls). Brandon a former player at PW Courage, JMU Soccer Alum, and professional player moves into the role after a year as the Boys Competitive Manager. The U13-U19 Programs will be led by Vicky Hall with the Girls and Jeff Broderson with the Boys. Vicky led the Girls ECNL-RL program over the past 2 years and expands her role to work with the U13-U19 Girls Select & Classic teams as a whole. Jeff, who has been coaching at Courage for more than 15 years, will move from his role on the Administrative staff and work full-time with the Boys U13-U19 Select & Classic teams. Eber Martinez will move into the role of Director of Player Development & Identification where he can use his ability to motivate, evaluate, and train players to continue to expand the program and player development. Josh DeDios who has spent the last year leading the Courage Development Program (CDP) and U9-U10 Boys program will continue in that role while also working with the Girls U9-U10 program as well. The Courage Technical Staff is rounded out by the hiring of Nick Ortiz to lead the Courage Goalkeeping program for the Select & Classic program. Nick has been running private goalkeeping programs throughout Northern Virginia and we are excited to add him to our team!
